From Denny: Stewart pokes some fun at both Obama and his critics for "It's not easy being green."

"Of course not, but.... say, if in 1936 you spoke about the growing importance of air travel in front of the Hindenburg. Well, you'd be right about the future of air travel but you'd still be on f*cking fire! Oh, the stupidity."
Did Obama maybe just have the misfortune of betting on the wrong horse without evidence Solyndra was just a donkey? Uh, well, he and his political hacks, Axelrod and Plouffe, chose to ignore excellent advice that the business model was a stinker on this business. But hey, Team Obama went ahead and threw away $535 million of taxpayer money for - wait for it - a helluva a photo-op.
The FBI is now investigating that government staffers repeatedly warned Team Obama about this bad idea for a loan. "This deal is NOT ready for prime time." Those same staffers found that one model proved that the company would run out of cash in September 2011 - which it did. Hey, at least one government "shovel ready project" came in on time and out of budget. It went out of business on Sept. 6.
Why did it go out of business so quickly? Try that it did not do a good analysis of the market before deciding to produce the solar panels. It cost $6 to produce one and they ended up selling it for $3. Will someone please chase the academics and political hacks out of the room and place a "sit on it and hatch" practical business person on it to do the obvious?
How did Obama get into this mess? Try it that the owner of Solyndra was a big Obama fund raiser, George Kaiser. He visited the White House several times before the loan was approved. So, basically, Obama gets campaign cash, the taxpayers get stuck with a huge bill and Solyndra gets to take Treasury cash out the back door and into their off shore bank accounts. Yes, that's incompetence, graft and corruption. Sure smells like a political scandal at our house.
