From Denny:  If Obama's Axelrod's lips are moving, then it must be a lie.  Same goes for Bush's Rove.  They both have strongly demonstrated they are political opportunists and willing money whores, selling out to the highest bidder.

For more than the past four years I've watched this political strategist called David Axelrod.  He claims to be a Democrat but has yet to convince me this is true.

Like I said, his lips are moving but his deeds say different.  What has happened is that he has been found out in so many lies, misstatements and half-truths that they are piled so high upon one another like a pile of bones on a weathered battlefield - out in the open for all to see.

His latest gaffe is "leaking national security secrets" like the special computer virus that so annoyed the Iran regime at their nuclear facilities.  Of course, he "protests too much" that everyone strongly suspects he personally did it.

Will The Democrats Go Bust And Cancel Their Convention?

From Denny:  The Democratic Party is having some serious financial issues lately.  It's only a few months away from the national convention to declare President Obama their candidate for the second time and these guys don't even have enough money to open the doors.  That's right.  

Talk about strange.  Why would anyone hold a convention to elect the only guy running anyway?  Better yet, why pay the ridiculous amount of $36 million to hold the three day extravaganza?

Ask them how much money has been raised so far and it's anemic.  They say they have another $27 million to find somewhere though they claim they are not struggling.  That means they only possess a mere $9 million?  What's happening here?  Plenty, it seems.  It was originally scheduled to be a four day event and has now been trimmed down to three days.

From Denny:  Take a peek inside a living room as Middle Class America watches the news, offering up outrageous solutions to the nation's ills.

For decades, Mexican drug smugglers have been devising all kinds of effective methods to penetrate the American coastline.  The news anchor seems to think the various government agencies have proven effective at containing the Mexican drug smugglers on land.

Lately - yes, this is a real news story - the smugglers have turned to retrofitting simple Mexican fishing boats with multiple engines to skim across the water so fast you might blink your eyes and miss them.

Apparently, the Coast Guard and other government agencies working in unison, are on watch every night, seeking out the more than several dozen runs by the smugglers all along the California coastline.

This news clip shows how the law enforcement agencies are successful, and arresting all kinds of smugglers, all lined up for The Perp Walk.

Yeah, Middle America is sitting on the couch taking it all in, fidgeting with the remote, when a stellar idea pops into their heads.  All that arrest business sure is a lot of unnecessary work.  We have a more effective solution of how to deal with these cheesy Mexican smugglers.

John Edwards Trial: Prosecution Fail, Dirty Judge, Truth Denied

From Denny:  For three weeks now all the prosecution has put on trial to show the jury is the ambitious political atmosphere of aides jockeying for personal power, the complete control of a candidate - and personal revenge.  What an ugly world.

In the aftermath of the 2008 political campaign and ensuing sexual scandal, aides also sought financial profit, many writing books years later.  Clearly, they have an agenda to join in the Destroy John Edwards Game of Obama and Axelrod.  This trial will become known historically as an infamous political vendetta played out on the national stage.

While our federal government was at it, they also decided to dissect the very sad and dramatically dying - and finally dead - Edwards' marriage.  This trial has been all about a forensic marriage audit.

From Denny:  Yeah, like this salacious trial is truly in the public interest.  More like it's in Team Obama's interest of eliminating possible political contenders as well as settling old political scores.

Axelrod, now Obama's "senior adviser" and handler,  is still smarting from when Edwards fired him from his 2004 presidential campaign and has been chasing revenge ever since.  It was foolish of Obama to give Axelrod his wish because now there will be blow back upon Obama, both political and criminal.

Oh, and did I mention how the lobbyists despise John Edwards for his campaign stand to eliminate them?  So, they decided to eliminate Edwards by making sure he is the object of such enduring public scorn and excessive humiliation to ensure he will not rise again as a national politician to thwart them.  Remember, Edwards is starting up a public interest law firm to fight lobbyists that have a stranglehold on our government and is no darling of the lobbyist community.

Good News: New Jobs Now Tout TVs Made In America

From Denny:  With 31 million new jobs required to get this economy back on track it's good news to finally see an electronics manufacturer come back to America.  It's easily been at least a couple of decades since American TV manufacturers closed shop and either moved overseas for cheaper labor or, worse, went out of business.

Someone new is willing to take the gamble and hire American workers once again.  These larger TVs are assembled by American workers in hard hit Detroit, Michigan.  They just started up production in March and are competitive with China.

Women: Pentagon Rapists Decide If Rapes Prosecuted

From Denny:  This week two new lawsuits against the military were brought concerning sexual assaults in the military academies.  It was necessary because the women were unable to get investigations into the crimes.  They were also wrongfully discharged as retaliation for reporting their rapes.

This past year sexual assault reports in the military have increased by 60 percent.  Sec. of Defense Leon Panetta reads that as women are more comfortable and trusting to make those reports.  Well, that's one optimistic way to view it.

Of the 65 reports, only one resulted in a court martial.  It makes you wonder if only one out of the 65 was truly investigated so the Pentagon threw out this bone to the women's groups to look like they were achieving something significant.  And did I mention the White House declared April as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month?

Rapists rise in command structure and remain

What is most annoying is how these rapists are allowed to remain in the academies, graduate and then rise in the chain of command all the way up to the Pentagon while the women's careers are destroyed as much as their lives.

How about the hard reality of what this increased percentage of reporting really means?  What is really going on here is that finally there is a sizable crack in the military command.  Some of them, a few good men, have developed a conscience and chose to allow the reports up the chain of command to be seen instead of buried and long forgotten or, worse, ripped up reports and immediately dismissed as unimportant.

Good News: Rush Limbaugh Kicked Off Philadelphia Station

From Denny:  It appears some conservatives have awakened to getting rid of Rush Limbaugh.  OK, actually it's really about boycotts and their profits they don't want to lose. Those darn liberals were just too effective at putting pressure on the advertisers. :)

One of the largest radio markets in the country is Philadelphia, the "city of brotherly love."  The dominant conservative talk radio station there, WPHT, an AM station, has jettisoned "The Rush Limbaugh Show" in favor of a native son, "The Michael Smerconish Show."  Normally, Smerconish's show is time-delayed but with the removal of Limbaugh, Smerconish can now broadcast live in his home market.

You might recognize Smerconish from his guest hosting of Chris Matthews' Hardball show.  I like the guy immensely as he is of agile mind and a balanced moderate opinion, you know, most of America.  Matthews could retire and Smerconish would make a great sequel.

From Denny:  The Secret Service has everyone talking and millions of people angry at their latest sloppy performance on an advance trip to secure President Obama's trip to Colombia.  Did taxpayers pay for the "business and accommodations" expenses of hiring prostitutes for these agents?

To date, as more facts come out, there were now at least 21 high priced prostitutes taken to the taxpayer paid hotel rooms.  Eleven of the agents were suspended during investigation and their security clearances yanked.

There are between 10 - 20 additional military involved in this stupidity.  That's, of course, if more information does not appear as this story seems to be growing in scope.  Who knows just how many of these mostly married men were involved?  Can you imagine being one of the wives who had to hear this news?

From Denny:  Today Prez Obama and VP Biden (and spouses) released their IRS tax returns.  Obama's was 48 pages long with an adjusted gross income of about $790,000.  Hey, those book sales add up over three years.  The Obamas also gave $172,000 to charities, about 22 percent of their income, much of it from a children's book.

Jon Stewart Interviews Losing Lawyer On Supreme Court Strip Search Case

From Denny:  Check out Jon Stewart in this unusual interview of the lawyer who lost the most important case for the world.  If you get arrested for a speeding ticket, jaywalking, a bell too quiet on your bicycle and other minor offences, then you all get arrested and strip searched by the police as a matter of regular procedure. Yes, America has entered the world of the outrageous.

America, as you know it, no longer exists as we are now officially a police state.  Americans have lost the majority of our rights - like civil rights, privacy rights, and just about everything else they could take.  All our rights have slowly eroded since 9/11 out of the fear of terrorism.

Police now possess sweeping, authoritarian, unlimited, absolute powers to do whatever they like to you, your spouse, your family, your children, your friends because it is all at the discretion of the police.  If a cop is having a bad day then expect yours to get a lot worse too because there is nothing to stop him.

From Denny:  The Supreme Court, in its demented wisdom, decided to put all of America on notice.  We all can be strip searched for no good reason.  America is now under lock down and an official police state.  Worried about safety in the jail system, the "Justices" have now effectively jailed all of America.

Over 700,000 people get arrested for minor offences in America every year.  For what did they get strip searched?  Get this:  riding a bike with an inaudible bell, walking a dog off a leash or driving with a noisy muffler.

A nun was strip searched for trespassing during an anti-war demonstration, if you drive without a license, failing to use a turn signal are all incidents where this strip search procedure has been employed.  Talk about outrageous.

From Denny:  I'm with Jon Stewart.  Rush Limbaugh just keeps on giving the comedy material, serving it up on a silver platter. His latest gambit is to now challenge the logic about his advertisers' performance since they left his show or if they stayed.

Normal people call it irrational logic, you know, an oxymoron attempt by Rush.  Sometimes, this guy is just too much fun to lampoon.  It's as silly as the research scientists who decided after lengthy study that, "People die six months before or six months after their birthdays."  That stupid study must have been underwritten by Limbaugh.

What he is arguing now is that the advertisers who stayed with his show are increasing their sales but those advertisers who spurned him because of the Slutgate Controversy are failing miserably.  What an insufferable self-centered ego.  He's full of bluster, that's for sure.

Does America's favorite BS Artist know how stupid that sounds?  Better yet, does he offer any proof of his claims?  Of course not.  And that is always the point about Rush Limbaugh.  He never possesses any real hard data or facts to back up his baseless claims for whatever he is "discussing" via monologue.

Dennys Global Politics: Syria: How Long Can Assad Last? What Are World Leaders Doing To End Killings?: From Denny:  Will world leaders be successful in ending the carnage in Syria as the dictator continues to massacre his own people?  Will the Arab nations get serious and quit sitting on the sidelines, always expecting America to fix it with our blood and money?  How much patience do the American people have for yet another war in the Middle East?

International envoy and former United Nations chief, Kofi Annan, announced today that Assad has agreed to end hostilities by April 10th by pulling out troops and tanks from the big cities.  Of course, few in the international world believe Assad will live up to his agreement as he is known for breaking previous promises.  World leaders now believe that the Annan six-point peace plan has been violated and are working to develop additional plans to curb Assad beside diplomatic courses and economic sanctions.

Rush Limbaugh Bleeding 3 More Advertisers Over Fluke Slut Slurs

From Denny:  This week the Rush Limbaugh show bled three more advertisers: Kohler, Fisher Nuts and Reputation.com, an online reputations management and Internet privacy service.  The tally is now up to 145.  Many were regional and local advertisers.  He still enjoys 9 permanent national advertisers, though 3 seem shaky.

It's been a month since the uproar push back from women started with Limbaugh throwing out his slut, prostitute and whore slurs of Sandra Fluke in a three day diatribe that infuriated the nation.

WTF? New York Times 1 Of 10 Still Advertising On Rush Limbaugh This Week?

From Denny:  Can you believe it?  This newspaper is supposed to be the bastion of America's best journalism and they have been advertising on the Rush Limbaugh talk radio show.  Worse, they were still advertising this week after all that has happened.  What are they?  Brain dead?

It was bad enough the New York Times went to their petty "You only get to view 20 articles for free a month, bitch, unless you are a paid subscriber" attitude.

This past week they kicked it up a notch to "You only get to view 10 articles for free a month, You Big Bitch, You Whore, You Slut unless you are a paid subscriber" attitude.  New York Times management must be on Self Destruct Drugs.  What is it?  A prescription from their Fox News buddies?  Why would they so cavalierly alienate half of the nation and the world: women?

Have you noticed how all those who have suspended their advertising are making these ridiculous claims and press statements that they didn't know how their ads were being placed?  Come on.  Who believes that story?  Own it, you corporate cowards.

Caustic Christians Promoting Hate Endorsed By GOP Candidates

From Denny:  A Louisiana pastor, affiliated with the Rush Limbaugh Hate Merchant class, introduced Rick Santorum at his church when the Republican campaigned here in my town of Baton Rouge.

Of course, my fellow Democrats across the nation erupted in outrage.  I yawned at the fist-pounding rhetoric reminiscent of Nikita Khrushchev pounding his shoe against President Kennedy in the 1960's.  Apparently, shoe slapping is a popular anger release in many cultures.

Southern Baptist Pastor Dennis Terry said when he introduced Sen. Santorum:  "I don't care what the liberals say, I don't care what the naysayers say, this nation was founded as a Christian nation...There is only one God and his name is Jesus. I'm tired of people telling me that I can't say those words.. Listen to me, If you don't love America, If you don't like the way we do things I have one thing to say - GET OUT. We don't worship Buddha, we don't worship Mohammad, we don't worship Allah, we worship God, we worship God's son Jesus Christ."

Caustic Christians are so far removed from what Jesus Christ taught that I'm immune to their constant propaganda because it sounds like the ravings of a mad man.  Think current mad man like former Fox News conservative talk show host, Glenn Beck, who is clearly in need of medication to restore him to a sound mind.

Think of the ravings of the above quote from Dennis Terry.  Clearly, he wants to control what Americans think, feel and how we worship.  This country was founded upon religious freedom for all, not just Christians.  And, no, Mr. Terry, this liberal Louisiana journalist blogger is not leaving.  Neither is the rest of the country who knows what you said was erroneous at best and cruelly unacceptable at worst.  Get used to your neighbors; we are all different, with different ideas, different religions: one America.

Breaking: ALL Rush Ads Suspended. 140 Advertisers Abandon Limbaugh, Conservative Hosts Too

From Denny:  Breaking news at 9:00 PM:  ALL national advertising for the Rush Limbaugh show has been suspended for two weeks.

Keep up the pressure on the advertisers.  Right now this looks like an attempt to cool down the national temperature so they can return to business as usual.  Don't count on it, Good Ol' Boys Network.

There is nothing like a woman scorned.  American women are fed up with the mean-spiritedness of GOP talk show hosts aimed squarely at all women.

During the past two weeks women, all across the nation, took measures to let national advertisers know loud and clear they will not purchase their products.  Utilizing social media, the internet and blogging proved to be quite effective for a relentless campaign in real time.

As a result of the campaigns of liberal groups emailing and phoning in their complaints to the various targeted companies, more advertisers fled the controversy.  By Friday when I was posting about this advertiser runaway it was 50 companies.  This Monday morning it was 98 companies.  By nightfall the tally grew to 140 advertisers abandoning the Rush Limbaugh ship and other conservative talk show hosts.  There are only 350 advertisers on the entire Premiere Radio Networks for a variety of shows.

Defund The Army, End The War Now: From Denny:  With Republicans so fond of pleasing their puppeteer war profiteers, they now find themselves in a quandary.  You see, the Republicans have boxed themselves into a corner, and, with it being an election year, they are cooked.

Republicans are big on deficit plans no matter how unrealistic.  Now they are faced with reducing the size of the active Army troops to the point the military can no longer run a two-front - or soon to be multi-front - war.  Another 100,000 ground troops will have to be slashed to meet the criteria of the $1.2 trillion budget cuts.

Chief of Staff General Ray Odierno whined to members of the Senate Armed Services Committee about his situation.  However can he secure his status to retire at a high pension and then acquire that all-coveted position of newly found wealth with his handler lobbyists and crappy think tanks?

Supposedly, it is the failure of the lawmaker supercommittee to agree on a deficit-reduction plan that caused this hardship for the Army.  But is it really?

Dennys Global Politics: Egypt: Revolution Loses Meaning As Women Denied Rights, Role in Society: From Denny:  Egypt held so much hope for the world when the Arab Spring broke out last year, toppling the regime.

Then reality set in.  The very women that protected the men who marched, the very women who gave medical aid and money to help the revolution, were turned upon and denied their respect and freedom.

The protesters took it all and gave nothing in return by denying women a seat at the table while they restructured the national government.  The former male protesters and the Egyptian military council refused the concepts of generosity, kindness, partnership and equality.  To the women, the protesters and the military are no different than the regime:  all deny freedom and equal rights to women.
