A Truth Journal: Jon Stewart Whips Some Lying Butt: NSA and Congress

A Truth Journal: Jon Stewart Whips Some Lying Butt: NSA and Congress: From Denny:  Incredibly furious with the NSA right now?  Yeah, me too.  I mean who really enjoys an arrogant thief who knows the government will not prosecute him, bursts into your house, steals its contents - unapologetic - rapes you and then says, "But I'm doing all this to protect you.  Just shut up and take it up the ass." Then, in a congressional hearing he gives all of America the verbal version of the finger eagle on the national news...

A Truth Journal: Govt Shutdown Shutstorm 2013: Late Nite Jokes Display Congress' Malfeasance In Office:

4 Jon Stewart videos.

From Denny:  Have you been enjoying the Washington soap opera lately - known as The Government Shutdown?  The word is that sometime tonight Speaker Boehner will finally do his job and allow the full House to vote on the bill to end this idiot shutdown and reopen the government.

Of course, there are conservative groups still urging members to vote against raising the country's debt ceiling to avoid default.  Those same groups also don't want the government reopened.  No one said groups like Club For Growth were smart enough to understand the global implications of such a screamingly stupid strategy...

A Truth Journal: Syria War Cluster F**k: Russia, Jon Stewart and Daily Show Weigh In On Dumb and Dumber: 4 funny Daily Show video clips.
From Denny:  Can this rush to join in on the Syrian civil war get any weirder?  President Obama, National Security Adviser Susan Rice and Sec. Kerry created a new White House page just to sell this new American war.  It looks like it was hastily pulled together like some lame corporate power point presentation.

It's loaded with a short timeline, a few videos, press statement links and some of the properly slanted unclassified intelligence assessment pointing to chemical weapons use.  Of course, it looks like just more of a slick political campaign to influence the public.  Give it up, guys, this page won't convince anyone.

A Truth Journal: Jon Stewart Hammers Vet Affairs Failing to Break 1 Million Claims Logjam

Veteran Suicide Rate

A Truth Journal: Jon Stewart Hammers Vet Affairs Failing to Break 1 Million Claims Logjam: From Denny:  While other equally pressing news stories push to the front of the public's attention - like Israel attacking idiot terrorist-supporting Syria and the tragic Boston marathon bombing by less experienced terrorists - the very soldiers who fought America's terrorism wars are told to wait for help by the Dept. of Veterans Affairs.

Granted the VA does process around one million claims a year, all this while in the midst of trying to change over from an outdated dinosaur 1970's paper culture and advance into the digital age.  Currently, they are looking at another two years before believing they will have arrived in said digital age.  Let's get real; multiple that by ten and the estimate might be near accurate.

A Truth Journal: Jon Stewart Slams Vets Admin For Damning 900,000 Vets To Health Care Hell: From Denny:  Like President Obama was warned when coming into his first term by outgoing President Bush 43, "Somewhere, every day, there is someone screwing up in the federal government."  Truer words could never have been spoken.  Who knew Bush was a government prophet?

For decades there have been serious problems going on at the Veterans Administration.  Along comes a new President and he throws a healthy extra billion dollars at the VA to fix the current problem, and, you guessed it, taxpayers are not getting their money's worth.

What it amounts to is that basically two greedy battling tech competitors set about to screw over 900,000 disabled veterans in desperate need of medical treatments and surgeries.  Does the insane and depraved indifference of greed never stop?  It's shameful what is happening over at the VA...

A Truth Journal: Stupid Grilling of Sec. Clinton on Benghazi: Funny Colbert and Jon Stewart Weigh In

A Truth Journal: Stupid Grilling of Sec. Clinton on Benghazi: Funny Colbert and Jon Stewart Weigh In: From Denny:   .... Both sides were overkill.  In the end, the Democrats looked a bit silly.  It was the Republicans that came across smelling like 10 day old roadkill on a hot summer's night.

Sec. Clinton handled herself with diplomacy, strength of conviction and principles - and smart political maneuvering.  She's ready for a run in 2016.  And these idiot Republicans may just have given her cause to do so.  Those guys never learn.

Here's a news clip from the hearing.  Following are three clips featuring Stephen Colbert's and Jon Stewart's hilarious reactions to the political parade at the hearing.  Of course, their clips contain portions of the footage from the actual hearing to prove their point:  Too many Republicans end up members of The Total Putz Clan.  4 video clips.

2012 London Olympics: Olympic Boner, Funny Late Nite Jokes, Colbert, Stewart Videos

Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear
Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

From Denny:  The London 2012 Olympics took the world TV watching community by storm in record numbers.

That, and with the global economic meltdown we are all too poor to go out so we holiday indoors with our monster TVs for free, right?  The Olympics have proven to be some exciting stuff, something for everyone.

Of course, our national comics have enjoyed a bit of commentary.  Enjoy the laughs as the Olympics winds down into its last week.

Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart video clips are sure to make you laugh right off your chair!  The Stewart clip about the rower with the "two mice hugging a banana" is funnier than the photo of the famous Olympic Boner.  All that for just a bronze medal? :)

Funny Friday: Jon Stewart Mocks GOP Fear of 2nd Obama Term

Jon Stewart
Jon Stewart (Image via RottenTomatoes.com)

From Denny:  Leave it to the comics to ferret out the twisted thinking of the Republican political strategists.  It's clear they are desperately reaching for just about anything to make their voters so terrified they will vote for any candidate they place in front of them.  Yeah, their 2012 field is really that awful.

Of course, the Democrats have been running the same game to scare their voters into staying with Obama no matter how little he has done for them.  The only difference is that they Democrats are correct about the Republicans' complete lack of leadership or interest in governing.

To hear the Republicans tell the Fear Game If The Other Guy Wins reaches the levels of the hilarious and the ridiculous.  That funny fact was not wasted upon Jon Stewart who could not resist lampooning their efforts.

Funny Jon Stewart Mocks 2012 State of the Union Address

Jon Stewart
Jon Stewart (Image via RottenTomatoes.com)

From Denny:  Bored from watching the State of the Union Address?  Jon Stewart pokes fun at both the address and the Round Table of Idiots to analyze said speech.  It's as if it's what you really want all those reporters to say, you know, like brain diarrhea and totally "socially inappropriate" - totally.

Like most comedians, Stewart feels it's his American duty to pummel this political joke fest into submission.  Jon especially enjoys watching the cut away photos of audience reactions - like that of the First Lady's to Obama's really bad joke.  "Honey, I told you that was so not funny and not to use it in the speech tonight."

Then Stewart moves on to lampoon the Republican response in the embodiment of wax figure Mitch Daniels.  The poor guy looks like he's been pickled in some lab jar of a mad scientist.  This is the same guy Republicans are begging to run for President to challenge the surge of Newt Gingrich.  Is it any surprise he is yet another bad choice?  Looks like Obama might win by just standing still, yeah, the Republican field is that bad.

And just for the disclaimer:  the third video clip is a bit saucy so if you have tender ears you might want to pass on it.  But hey, for all the rest of us, party on and enjoy the Wild Child formerly known as Jon Stewart! (He must have been a blast as a precocious five year old kid.)

On to the hilarious video clips...

Funny Jon Stewart Mocks Perry Romney 10K Bet

speaking at CPAC in Washington D.C. on Februar...
Image via Wikipedia
From Denny:  This is too funny.  Jon points out that on the GOP national debate stage a Mormon is gambling with an evangelical about who is the biggest liar of the two, to the tune of 10,000 large.  According to comic John Oliver, this feeds into the narrative of Romney being an out of touch rich guy millionaire.

After all, the average person in Iowa makes a $10 bet not a $10, 000 one.  Only rich guys throw money around like that demonstration.

How dumb can you get?  In the worst economic depression in 70 years you have a millionaire making expensive bets in front of an audience trying to figure out how to keep their kids in college and pay their mortgage.

John Oliver basically buries Romney as "everything tells the tale about Romney as the guy who just fired your Dad."

Jon Stewart Mocks Herman Cain Sexual Prowess

From Denny:  Leave it to Jon Stewart and The Daily Show comedy crew to lampoon yet another political sexual whodunit. In fact, Jon Stewart is praying Herman Cain does not quit the race.  He is the satire gift that keeps on giving in the season of Too Much Jolly.

Jon questions Herman Cain's excessive denials of knowing but not knowing - in the biblical sense - the parade of women across the 2012 GOP election stage.

He also challenges Cain's concept of sex.  Like how can you conduct a 13-year-old affair without having any sex?  Who ever heard of a 13-year-long platonic affair?  Better yet, who ever heard of paying off women with whom you never had sex?  Does that make any sense?

Jon postulates that Cain must be the worst guy in bed, the worst liar or the worst at getting lucky.  Anyway you look at it he sure isn't presidential material for this country.  We like our leaders to be virile and capable of sealing the deal.  After all, what kind of lousy negotiator would Herman Cain be with another world leader if he can't even get sex in a 13-year-old affair?

Of course, this latest sexual allegation from Ginger White only makes it easier for Gloria Cain to divorce her cheating husband.  After all, the media has basically paid for the investigator and the damaging witnesses to come forward.

Maybe this is just Lady Karma's way of balancing the books on a guy who thought he could continue to arrogantly lie and cheat without consequences.  One thing is for sure; Cain's wife will be enjoying this season for to her it will be the season of 'Tis To Be Jolly.  Her only question to the divorce court is this:  Hey, Herman, what's in your wallet?  Oh, yeah.

Ouch Outrageous Obnoxious and Odd: Funny Jon Stewart: Rick Perry Gaffe Gifts Joy Boners to Comedians

Jon StewartImage via WikipediaOuch Outrageous Obnoxious and Odd: Funny Jon Stewart: Rick Perry Gaffe Gifts Joy Boners to Comedians: From Denny: When the GOP presidential candidates screw up on national television, let the comedians count their blessings. Jon Stewart continues to be amazed - and thankful - for all of the Dope Moment gaffes from the Rick Perry campaign.

Just how many times can a candidate mess up like the gift that keeps on giving? Perry trots out on to the various talk shows to try and convince voters he was in on the joke from the previous night's debate. See? It wasn't really a gaffe like it looked. And who believes that sorry try? Well, no one - certainly not on The Daily Show set.

Worse, The Daily Show comedians all had to get in on the act to "display" their visual joy over the recent Rick Perry debate gaffe where he could not remember all three of the government agencies he claimed he would close down if he were in the White House. He managed to tick off the Commerce Department and the Dept. of Education but declared it an Oops! Moment when he experienced a brain freeze, OK, a brain fart to be truthful.

Funny Jon Stewart Lampoons Obama Solyndra Technology Scandal

From Denny: Stewart pokes some fun at both Obama and his critics for "It's not easy being green."

Jon whines: "Does one failed green technology company discredit the idea of a green energy economy?"

"Of course not, but.... say, if in 1936 you spoke about the growing importance of air travel in front of the Hindenburg. Well, you'd be right about the future of air travel but you'd still be on f*cking fire! Oh, the stupidity."

Funny Jon Stewart Mocks What It Took to Humanize Dick Cheney

From Denny:  Jon Stewart loves to talk about the Darth Vadar metaphor in regards to former Vice President Dick Cheney.  Cheney has a new book out, called "In My Time," and is busy hawking it on every talk show that will take him.

Stewart gives us many clips of Cheney hard at work selling his piece of fiction he claims is nonfiction.  What's amusing is how "The View" talk show just had to say, "Mr. Vice President, let's talk about this little bulge here."  She patted his chest.  Jon thought that funny as he wondered out loud "how that (statement) played to the radio broadcast audience."

As Cheney launches into his "old man talks about his health issues" talk on "The View," Stewart is speechless, unable to mock.  Can it be there is finally something Jon cannot mock successfully?  Find out why in this funny clip:

Funny Jon Stewart, Colbert React to Republican Debates

From Denny: Only Jon Stewart could dissect this crazy GOP line-up, revealing true agendas. When he goes after Michele Bachmann for her idea of mothering it sure is a left field what she says.

You expect her to comment on how raising five biological children and 23 foster children she would opine upon parenting skills in the area of how they needed lots of love and daily structure. Nope. What she says is "children need jobs." No kidding.

What I found most disheartening about her quote about children of poverty - from a over a year ago - is when she commented about how the poor should raise themselves up on their own, without government help - ever.

"Hunger is a great motivator." From that day forward I always wondered if she had starved any of those foster children to force them to do what she demanded.

Stewart goes on to show how John Huntsman is the only GOP candidate with a brain for calling the obvious, "For the Republican Party to remain viable we can't run from science (when 98 out of 100 believe evolution happened as theorized)." And so, Stewart brings on the obvious funny graphics, proving Huntsman as the GOP "Homo Unelectable" in the long line of homo sapiens and ancestors.

Ron Paul is the comic relief of the GOP field. He thinks the Mexican fence is not for keeping out those Mexicans. It's for keeping in the Americans. Ron Paul has more fun ideas for his presidency: Listen on! :)

Funny Jon Stewart Comics Explain American Politics

Photo by Beverly and Pack @ flickr
From Denny:  It's a wonder that humanity has survived this long considering our political gaffes, weird ineffective policies and dysfunctional governments over the centuries.  Too many selfish egos colliding around Congress like bumper cars at a state fair make our lives as difficult as it is entertaining.

Society must have survived because of the comics that help us laugh at our annoying government while we patiently wait to "throw the bums out" at the next available election. :)  I find Jon Stewart and his stable of fellow funny guys quite refreshing.  Comics sure do have a wonderful way of putting it all into perspective, along with stabbing pins into the hot air pundit and political balloons.

Now if MSNBC would hire back Cenk Uygar, Keith Olbermann and other smart commentators who can't be fooled and are looking out for the public's best interests...

Meanwhile, check out the hilarious look at both our American political parties, my Democrats and the overt corporate puppets, the Republicans - who believe in coddling billionaires.  Who could forget at the Iowa Republican Straw Poll state fair where Mitt Romney actually said, "Corporations are people too."  Unbelievable.  The comics don't have to make up this stuff because it's handed to them on a silver platter marked "Take me; I'm yours!"

For good measure the comics include the Socialist Party and the bizarros over at the Tea Party.  While there are five clips they are all short in time to view.  Get a grin to propel you through the rest of the work week while we all run for cover from the 98 degree summer heat and the occasional impromptu hurricane.
