"An audio tape recording from the 1950's, which captures the voice of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivering a rare speech, has been released to the public for the first time. Michelle Miller reports."
From Denny: This is one speech I was unaware existed. I just love it when someone trips over a piece of history, was about to destroy it without thinking, then suddenly an awareness comes over them not to destroy it for its cultural importance.
The few clips of the audio with photos in this video sends chills up your spine. Why? This unarchived speech on old reel-to-reel tape media is from the early beginnings of the Civil Rights struggle in America as it was ramping up. MLK's words are haunting and as an oracle from the past now that America, proudly, has elected an African-American President. MLK had a dream and that dream is partially realized today.
